Looking for advice on the treasure coast........

My son and I are taking a trip in December to the area around Sebastian. Looking for any tips/advice/or wise counsel from those that know. We are willing to travel anywhere up or down the coast, as this has been a longtime dream of ours, and we carved out the time to do it. It's a 900 mile drive to get there, so hoping to find a "little" bit of history.....any direction appreciated!
