Looking for coins....

Hi.

Looking for coins, I found a surprise.
MDing in Poland requires to get use to it. It's quiet usual find.
Take a look.



Besides, I found some other stuff.
Mainly rubbish - but Dieniezka & 1 Kopek are in amazing condition.
Pendant in the center of the pic, was found in a village shop nearby Warsaw - but I told my wife, that it is a find.
She "bought it"...
Most fun I had, when I was explaining that it was bought in a shop.

How do you dispose of a find like that artillery shell? Great finds otherwise. Bullets appear to be German or possibly Polish? American GIs bullets are sharp pointed. Monty

That artillary projectile is amazing as are all the old coins.
I think the bullets where you can see the spiral rifling marks are really nice too.

I'm surprised that you dug enough to bring the projectile to the surface. Generally, as explosives age, they become more sensitive, not less.

That is a dangerous find. Once you realize what it is, you should leave it alone and contact your nearest military Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit, or a police department with bomb squad capabilities.

This "rotten death" was not deep at all, LiveBlues.
About two-three inches. I realize that is highly dangerous find - don't worry about me.
Also I know that i should inform Bomb Squad or Police. But you can do so, if you know where you are.
I this case, I did not even know what is the name of nearest village.
What was I supposed to tell them? - That, it's by the forest?

What I did was burying it much more deeper than I found it, out of my PrizmV range.
I dug really deep hole in the ground... About 3-4 feet deep.
That was the only thing I could do.
