Looking for info on Benicia Barracks tokens (california)

Hi All,

Met a guy that has 18 tokens, all from Benicia CA. These are all undug (he found then in a relatives desk) and he is asking for best offer.
He has multiples of the "3 1/2 CENTS, 5 CENTS AND 10 CENTS" benicia barrackes tokens, as well as some "3RD BATTALION 8TH CAL CANTEEN CHECK COINS WITH 5 ON THE FRONT"


I was wondering if anyone here has the California token book, and could you give me an idea of what these are worth, as I may like to make an offer.

Several of my friends have dug some of these tokens, but I have yet to find one.

The California book is too old to be of much use. Cunningham's book on military tokens gives a value of $150 for all three denominations of the Benecia Barracks tokens. He also assigned a value of $50 for the 3rd Battalion, 8th Canteen token.

The book was published in 1995, but I have no idea how accurate the values given really are.
