looking for map resource

I'm looking to find old (Western Union?) telegraph maps (of lines and poles) for Plumas County, California. Anybody know where I can find a resource for these types of maps?

It may be a long shot, but try the engineering office at whatever phone company used to be the Bell for your area. I worked for NYNEX up north years back and the engineering foreman had some really old cable platts (that's what the pole run blueprints are called) from back when the area was first developed. Depending on the size of the area you're looking at, the office may be right at the garage where the techs dispatch out of.
