Looking for MD buddies near Hattiesburg

Happy new year. New to all of this, always wanted to learn as I am a History nut. I'm a RN and have some other hobbies like Kayaking and Motorcycles. Would love to meet up to find some relics, find old homesites, historical sites, etc. I'm more interested in the history aspect.
