Found this padlock today on a quick hunt where an old home used to be. I am not sure of the age, manufacturer, or the value. Anyone have any ideas?

It is a smaller lock. A horse is pictured in the center of the front. Scroll design on the back. Key would go in the bottom to unlock.

I have an email in to the lock museum out East to see if they know anything. Hopefully they can help.
I also would like to check the Sears Roebuck catalog from the early 1900's, but don't have a copy and could not find one online. So if anyone has one, mind looking for me?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you for looking!!

Late 19th or early 20th century Mallory, Wheeler & Co. "Horsehead" warded brass padlock. Based in New Haven, CT, MW& Co. was the largest manufacturer of padlocks in its day, c. 1865-1910. Arnall's book The Padlock Collector, 6th Ed. valued this lock at $45 in 1996. One brought $30 in a Schofield Auction in 1999.

That is a great looking lock. What did you use to clean it? Congrats on the find.
