Looking for some info on NC

Hello all,

I may be heading down to Asheville NC this spring, but have no idea what the laws are with detecting in state or national forests. I'll be staying with my cousin who is working on securing some private land but would like to know the laws down there with state or national forests if anyone can help, thanks!

No detecting in state or national forests.....limited to city and county parks or private land with permission. And no detecting on parkway land.

Really, wow, pretty strict down there I guess. Just spoke to my cousin, he is in Fairview not Asheville, my mistake.

Fairview isn't too far from us, about 2.5 hours. You could do a little digging over at hiddenite.

Fairview is just outside Asheville. Might give me a pm before you come down I have property about 1 hour east of Asheville
