interested in roll hunting and having some fun trying to make a buck or two. I have a guy looking to sell 40% 50 cent pieces at 40 a roll. Not well versed in selling and was wondering if there is chance to make a few bucks?

If you sat on them awhile until silver goes a little higher. That's about all a dealer will pay for them right now.

Thank you for the information. Much appreciated.

Huh? In a previous post you mentioned joining a coin club and selling coins at auction for the most $. A regular roll of 40% halves is worth over $52 spot. A $12 profit per roll is a decent return. Ask around and you should be able to find a buyer for spot. Even some pawn shops will pay spot.

my LCS pays $1.60 for 40%. higher grade coins can sell at over $3.50 on Ebay, after fees is about $3.
sell only beaten worn uglies for "scrap", "melt", "spot"

APMEX would pay $49 per roll in large quantity (200 or more rolls).
They pay some lesser, non-advertised, price for lesser quantity.

Yes I did. I didn't mention that you would get melt, just closer to melt than you would get anywhere else.

And I have never seen a pawn shop pay melt.

Me either. When silver was ~$35/oz. the BEST paying public dealer in my area was a pawn shop paying 8x face for 90%.
