Detector(s) used
Garrett AT-Pro
Primary Interest:
Relic Hunting
I started detecting with my pop back in the late 70's and we used the old D-Tex Coinshooter's and D-Tex Rebel. My son recently got me back into the hobby and I've started relic hunting with an AT-Pro and I'm enjoying it. My wife is interested in detecting and I want to start her out where she can find some stuff on a regular basis to keep her interested. I think coin shooting is the direction she needs to start. Problem is, I don't know what's out there now that would be simple and easy for her to use. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I would seriously consider Whites M-6,a simple machine and HIGHLY effective on coins and jewelery, relics too once you learn what it's tellin ya! Welcome! God Bless Chris

Thanks for the advice. I'll check it out.

Look also at the Fisher F2 with the extra coil and pinpointer package or Garret Ace 350, both under $300. Call or PM if you need any help!

The AT Pro can be a simple & easy good coinshooter. I use STD mode, coins program, iron disced out (40), sens 7, and manual ground balance. In first few hours use, got a very tilted quarter & 7" deep dime. The dime gave a loud unbroken 100% repeatable high tone on every pass & always dime #s (80-85) . Also like Teknetics G2, lightweight, giant numerical ID & ground phase reading that tells when to redo the ground balance, great target separation. Cheaper detectors usually have less depth or worse ID or no ID, some don't mind or buy used to save $$. Best wishes, George (MN)

Thanks Wayne. I'll check them out.

Another vote for the White's M6. One of the finest coin shooters ever made.
