Looking to do the great hunt

I want to go across the United States metal detecting. I want to spend two days in each state. I want to hookup with local people in each state. Meet with them and talk with them and find out their best finds. I would like to meet the average detectorist. I want to put all my videos that I take on my trip on YouTube. I think this would be the greatest hunt ever. Reply back and tell me what you all think about my idea.

I actually mentioned something very similar to what you're describing to a friend- who doesn't detect....... Yeah, he thought I was crazy! Lol

I don't think it's crazy I'm going to do it. I think it would be the ultimate adventure and it would be even more fun to do it with somebody else

Wouldn't it be neat if you could get a MD vendor (i.e., Whites, Garrett, etc.) to sponsor your equipment, etc. Ah to dream...

There's always a way you can do it. Even if you are not rich. I think getting sponsors would be the best way

In my girlfriend is so awesome that she is letting me do that. And she thinks every guy should have a great adventure.

When I was a young man, I used to spend 3 or 4 months hitch hiking cross country every summer. On one trip I left Greensboro NC going to Oregon via Canada with $3 in my pocket. stopped at my parents in Michigan, did yard work for the neighbors and entered Canada with $46 in my pocket. 6 days later I was at the 1978 Rainbow gathering with $1 in my pocket. Stayed at the gathering for 2 weeks, hitched into Eugene and saw a Dairy Queen. There went my Dollar. When I would get broke, I would pick up some day work or sell plasma. Plasma would get me $10 each time and I could donate twice a week. I could live "high on the hog" on $20 a week. Good luck on your trip. Live while you are young!
