For 2 weeks i have been trying to find a good used md so that i might upgrade a bit.I have had more people on craigslist and other places lie to me more than politicians.So here goes.I have 350 to 500 to spend iam trying to find a whites xlt or atp or maybe a fisher f70.If you have one of these please be open to negotiating.Oh also i would take a bh platinum with an 11" coil.I cross my fingers.Thanks in advance.

For your budget you should have no problem finding a quality detector! If you're not in a hurry, you will find one. About a year and a half ago when I was buying my Dads atp I just said I want a atp, I have $400 cash, if you have a ATP and your needing the money NOW then shoot me a messase. I had several emails within 3 day's and ended up picking up a ATP with a blank warranty card for $375 shipped! When my Mom got diagnosed with Cancer my Dad ended up having to sell it and got $100 more than I paid! So there are deals out there to be had for sure, go luck on the hunt.

Thanks Detect This i have been looking for 2 weeks.Some how i think i will find something.I can only say this i don't want anybody to suggest anymore sponsors or dealers.They don't seem to answer their phones and if you leave a message they get back to you a day later to say its sold.I thought this would go a little smoother.But i guess patience counts.Kinda like my dad said the longer it takes probably the better the deal.And thats a fantastic price you paid for an atp.

I am sorry you feel this way! As far as I am concerned, I was only trying to help and steer you to a great Dealer which has or had two great metal detectors in your price range. My understanding is that contact was made with the Dealer but no deal could be made. Therefore, I don't feel that this was my fault! Maybe you should look to eBay if you are having problems getting what you want off of Craigslist or from a Metal Detector Dealer!

I sold a ATP with two coils, adapter cord, cover and bag for $500 earlier in the year. I sold it for about half of what i had into it. Deals are out there.

If you say you want a Bounty hunter Platinum, they are new on ebay for $299. With the extra money you can buy the 11" DD and still be in your budget.

Ah there you go, Vance is a great dealer and he has several nice used detectors in your range. I would recommend tge ATP or MXT but he also has a used EuroTek with the 11" DD coil, all 3 would be contenders.

I want to thank everybody for their advice and info.I did find a md.Believe it or not my sister paid for it as a late birthday gift.Its a new at pro.I did talk to vance but at the time i had a few offers i wanted to check out and i had not made up my mind yet.Talking to vance on the phone was a good experience iam quite sure i will deal with them in the future.I have been trying to get him on the phone today with no success.But i will catch up to him.And i did buy from a sponsor.Once again thanks everyone.So thats the end of this thread.Just got to figure out or have the mods close it.HH
