Looks sort of like a cut coin, not sure....?

I don't think it's a cut coin. Although it does look like one. I see the letters ( E R K ). There is at least one letter before but can't tell. It looks like part of that letter is slanted. So maybe a w or a v. I don't see anything on the reverse. Any ideas?

Maybe it is a bag seal and the word is Kaliwerke or Salzbergwerk - German for potash or salt mines? See this thread:

Looks like the German word, WERKS.
