Lot's of goodies today
Hey everybody. It's been a while since I've posted anything but todays finds were good enough for me to show off. The day started at 4:45 am. I made the 2 hour drive to Port Orchard to go detecting with Vanoldschool today and we had a blast. We started the day by going to a park he recently found an 1892 IH and a cool silver spoon. Needless to say it was a total bust. Then we decided to do what we always seem to do and start driving until something catches our eyes and we can't resist stopping. That's when we stumbled on an old abandoned house in the woods. The place was full of garbage, furniture, clothes and jars of old canned fruits and veggies that were so old they were completely rotten. We climbed through all the mess and came up with these keepers. Van will post his pics in his own post. All the buttons are old Navy uniform buttons except possibly the one black one with the eagle. If anyone knows please feel free to educate me. The tokens are old transit tokens from Seattle. These were my favorite finds because I've never seen them before. The little square plate is stamped on the backside HONFLEUR P B & S #7999. I actually found it on a listing on google that says it was made in 1884, pretty cool. The whistle is a 1950"s Dragnett Jack Webb whistle. The lighter was made by Prince MFG. The keychain says Hollywood walk of fame and the center spins. I actually dug the cameo out of the yard. It's silver and I'm not sure what the middle is made out of. Hope everyone is doing good and having fun.
