I got into a low area where the dirt had built up from years of run off and the targets where deep, just waiting for me and my CTX.

Did you ever hunt relics with a etrac? If you did is the CTX better? Great finds.

No I haven't . I talked to a guy who has both and he prefers the Etrac. He said he likes the tone better and it gives a solid signal deeper.
I think the CTX gives jumpy signals deeper. I also like the versatility of making my own programs. I set one with the lowest grunt possible for iron and turned the tones for good targets up higher. I have another program for really iron infested areas that kills. It just such a versatile machine, but it really comes down to personal preference.
