I was digging most signals today. I wanted to get as much dug as possible before the ground freezes for winter. Nails, dog chain and fence wire; many times, over and over…
I finally dug the little bracket. It looks like an Omega, so I figured it meant “the end.” I was in my yard and planning to stop for the day. I got a strong, clear signal about 40 ft from my front door; and area I’ve been over dozens of times. I dug this Avon silver plate long (iced tea) spoon. Better than a sharp stick in the eye.
Now I need to clean it and try to straighten the bent handle without breaking it. Thanks for looking.👍🏼

I see it is a 7-5/8” iced tea spoon from the Art Deco inspired set model 1940.
