Feel free to chime in if anyone knows about these? I believe them to be Native American grinding stones. The small one I found in Morehouse Parish a few years back. The large one I found today out detecting in Richland Parish.

The pictures aren't great but from seeing the pics. The large one just looks like a river rock and the small one might be something but difficult to determine. When looking at Louisiana artifacts or any artifacts. you have to be able to find man made marks to tell if its an artifact or its just guessing. Did you find these rocks near other rocks or were they in the middle of woodland with no rocks?

No rivers here. No natural stones. Just dirt.
