I found a couple of tokens in the Field by my house I showed them to a friend who collects coins and he gave me Glen Farbers name. He is a specialist on tokens and has a book on Louisiana tokens. I tried to find his email address for you but I couldn't put my hands on it right know. I'll send it to you when I find it. The two that I found are Tala Bena Plt. tokens a .05 and a 1.00.

I can't help on the first two, only to say that the second one is a "St. Louis made part-incuse" token. I can't quite make out the maker's name on the reverse, but I'd guess it is Barnard.

The last one is listed in Crawford & Farber's LA Trade Tokens book as from Monroe, LA. They say that "Louis Fox and Armand Renaud operated this grocery l0ocated at South Grand at DeSiard from about 1907 until 1914."

The author's name is Glyn Farber. Send me your email address and I will forward it to him. I don't pass out people's email addresses without permission. siegfried schlagrule
