I'm going to visit this area later on this year. Are there any good areas/parks to metal detect? Are there any laws about metal detecting that I should know about? Thanks!

Park detecting was banned in Louisville in 2009, or there was an attempt to block it, I stopped following the issue, not sure what the deal is as of 2017. If you get off the beaten path in St. Matthews, you'll find some older homes....there's where I be....knocking on doors....lol.
