Detector(s) used
XP Deus II v0.6 with 11" Coil
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
The weather was bitterly cold today & the ground which was soft yesterday had frozen solid. By the end of 3.5 hours my hands no longer functioned even with gloves on!

It was well worth getting cold for!

3 hammered - 2 Lizzy Halfgroats & 1 Edward III Halfpenny

Dad got his first Roman Silver of the year -
Julia Domna Denarius AD196 - Minted Laodicea
Reverse type we haven't seen - Diana holding flaming torch

I would have gone home happy with the great conditioned Pewter 18th century button - Queens Own IV Dragoons (one for IP)

7 scrappies
17th Century Token
Nice Late Medieval square coin weight

Great day in freezing weather, look forward to the warmer spell tomorrow with Shaun7 (I hope!)

how would the coin weight have been used? ie: did it weigh single coins or the weight in silver of a few :icon_scratch:

used to weigh a gold coin, some of which were foreign.

we are at 11 degrees farenheight, the ground here is like concrete. I have to suspend operations so as not to damage artifacts. glad to see you still can dig and by the way those are very nice digs indeed. thanks for sharing, I can't wait until spring.

we too are in danger of damaging finds, but take it more carefully if its in the frozen lumps.

Seriously the XP it's the dogs'. Shame it just went up from £530 to £649 (the strong Euro meant it went up £120 over night!)

Its a better day tomorrow, so good luck & nice to hear from you again. Fingers crossed for the Valuation. We have waited over 18 months for one of our Valuations. Plus I have 3 other items awaiting reports.
