Well it was late last night and my wife decided to place some of her change on the counter, when i decided to look over to see what she was doing. I looked at this nickel at a distance for a bit and then took a second then a third look at a distance and was thinking the whole time no way it is just a shinny nickel. Well i couldnt resist and i took an extra step in closer to the nickel and noticed it was a 1985 proof so i snatched it up. And told the wife thanks for the nickel and she said HEY I want that back and i said nope this nickel no longer belongs in change and you would just spend it as a regular nickel. She asked me what was so special about it so i showed her and explained to her that not only are there proof half dollars like what we have pulled out of circulation but nickels to. so i scored a proof nickel without searching any rolls
