warm peroxide bath, and a soft scrub pad ( I think its an old chore boy)

Nice digs! Did ya check the 09 for a VDB on the back? Let's see the bottom of that bullet. It might be Civil War era?

I think it may not be that old, maybe a replica for a blazer or something.

no vdb on the 09 :( and here is a pic of the back of the bullet

Pretty hard to identify a bullet without some kind of diameter measurement and/or weight. It has a nice big wide grease groove and no crimping groove with a hollow base. I'd guess blackpowder bullet of some kind. Maybe cap and ball revolver?That doesn't necessarily mean it's old however with all the replicas in use today. Monty

Old wheats are fun to find. When I get a handfull, I throw em in the tumbler for an hour with some aquarium gravel and a spot of soap and water.

that dime came from my goodie box, its actually a love token on the front, I just threw it in there as a size reference. I'm still bummin' from getting skunked at camp blair ???
