lunch break hunt brings a couple of keepers

hit a local park near my work, 1909 and 1926 wheatie cleaned up nice. I'm starting to figure out how to find the coins masked by other junk. they were both at about 6-7 inches. the button is pretty cool, not sure how old, latin for 'God is our hope', and the bullet looks unike any other, any ideas on that?, thanks for looking, HH, Griff

warm peroxide bath, and a soft scrub pad ( I think its an old chore boy)

I think it may not be that old, maybe a replica for a blazer or something.

no vdb on the 09 and here is a pic of the back of the bullet

Pretty hard to identify a bullet without some kind of diameter measurement and/or weight. It has a nice big wide grease groove and no crimping groove with a hollow base. I'd guess blackpowder bullet of some kind. Maybe cap and ball revolver?That doesn't necessarily mean it's old however with all the replicas in use today. Monty

Old wheats are fun to find. When I get a handfull, I throw em in the tumbler for an hour with some aquarium gravel and a spot of soap and water.

that dime came from my goodie box, its actually a love token on the front, I just threw it in there as a size reference. I'm still bummin' from getting skunked at camp blair
