just screwing around with the m6 and am getting an honest 12 inches on the air tests...very impressed by this. Also, this is absolutely the fastest machine i have ever tested...i cannot move a coin in front of the coil faster than the machine will respond...have only tested it briefly in my yard on real targets but i think we are in for a long relationship....PP is dead center, btw PP mode is amazingly deep!!!My only concern is it's ability to null iron and still 'see' a good target. my air tests on this have proved marginal at best...any other inputs would be greatly appreciated...
thanks

I've been MDing for only a year, and I use an M6 so I don't have any experience with anything else! All I can say is I love it!! It seems to be able to detect anything with ease. I dug my first 2 cent piece at about 10" with the original 9.5" coil with a strong signal and I have dug signals to a good 12"! It's detected items the size of BB's and staples. I did buy a 10x12 SEF coil, but haven't had a chance to try it out. So far, I'M IMPRESSED!

Yep, I love my M6 too. Performs great all around. I haven't found anything real deep but air tests seem promising. I'd like to the snow to melt here so we can't hunt again!!!!!!!

I love my M6! Get yourself a Super 12 coil and you'll be ready to find the DEEP stuff! Of course you'll have to get good with your detector first so get out there as much as you can!

If you set the desc. at about 9:00 instead of the factory preset and run tones with as high of senc as you can and still run stable, pretty soon you'll just be ignoring those low iron sounds and listening for those true good sounds wheather they be for GOLD or Silver. Tou might also wan't to invest in a DD coil. Either the 6x10 or the new D2 10 inch coil. Great for target separation in trashy areas. You have a great machine there.

no dd coil on the horizon, however, i did buy a new 5.3 eclipse...hopefully that will prove it's worth in the trash!
