Machine Wrapped halfs that are ripping me off

Title says it all i was a little upset last night because i had 2 machine wrapped halfs that had 1 quarter in each roll stuffed inside. Has this happened to anybody else? i would expect that maybe with a dishonest person in a CWR but in a machine wrapped come on. i have had a couple rolls short one half as well but the quarter one seems worse.

i feel for ya man.hav'nt you had the high speed coin counters short you yet.last week it shorted me 2 half dollars and the bank wont cover it.they tell me what the machine says is what they pay.boy does that chap my cheeks .i guess the dont trust their customers?but on the other hand i do find an extra half once in while in a roll.just found one last week again.but i'm not tellin.you just have to wait for your turn.HH-nomad 11

Unfortunatly for my i have no coin counters here in Alaska so i cant just unroll them and throw them in a bag. I have to reroll every roll and dumping has seemed to get even harder since i only can dump 100 dollars at a time or else they want to charge me to deposit them into my account. But the funny thing is i can go to the branch up the road and deposit all for free and it is a smaller branch.

I have seen a nickel stuck in between with two halves in a roll, and also a quarter on two seperate occasions. The craziest part was that all three times it has happened, there were still 20 halves in the roll, so instead of ripping me off, It was extra money.

I get dimes pretty frequently in brinks penny rolls, like 2-3 per box.

I feel a little better after reading your post. I bought my first box ever last week and had two rolls that each had a quarter in place of a half. Being new I figured that might happen often. I'm glad it seems to be the exception and not the rule!

My half boxes are pretty much always spot on. I did get a box of dimes last week where 1 roll was noticably shorter than the rest, it was short 6 dimes.

I do get things like the large penny coins and bermuda 50 cent pieces. I'd much rather have the quarter!

I would not complain to the bank whatever you do, especially if you're getting silvers.

While I have never gotten anything other than halves in my machine wrapped half rolls (other than the occasional foreign coin), I have seen quite a few rolls that only have 19 coins in them.

If you CRH, you are going to get "shorted" occasionally. There is absolutely no way around it, and nothing you can do about it. Personally I just consider it a small fee and move on.

Yeah i just kinda shrugged and moved on with the rolls. But i will never go to the bank i get them at and complain because i just CRH on the side i am a very busy person in the summer here in Alaska and have way to many SILVER SALMON to catch to CRH a ton. But i do manage now about 4 thousand a month. i was doing almost three times that before june, then summer kicked in. Well i guess i can pay a small fee every now and then but i want more dream box's like what the easter bunny brought me
