Made It....So Had To Try It.

I've been trying to think up a way to be able to work offshore farther at my sites.So I made up this rig. It worked great for me today as I took a full size shovel & added it to my digging gear today.It would sit there & sift it self purdy much with the wave action. Anyway took it to one of my older sites & put it to the test.Came up with a few early finds. Two complete Rat tail pewter spoons very large & heavy (not sure why they bent them up like they did. Some early musket balls/shot,pewter button & two others,my new tinyest buckle,teeth,& some kind of coin/token I see what looks like a bull's/buffalo head with horns on one side.I'm going to work on it for sure cause it's got me curious for sure as this site is very old it came from.

Pete nice finds and a great idea.
Iv`e spoken to at least 1 gentleman that detected Sherman`s camp at Dix hill that said every spoon he found was bent to hook on you belt.
Maybe Civil war spoons or before?

Small observation; those cut cable ties can stratch you up, so best turning them away from the outer edges

Scratch, That's baby stuff man. You wouldn't know from all the jelly fish burning your legs off.
