Magic Program...

Any ideas on depth with a 6x10 Eclipse or 13 Detech coils running the Magic program??
Been trying to tweak Magic with the 6x10 and depth seems, shallow, like 4-5"s at best. Havent put on the 13" Ultimate yet..
Ive tried running TX boost, maybe a little bit deeper. Goint to put the 13 on this weekend for funnys on a known ground..

The 6x10 coil became my least favorite coil for my Whites V3i. I bought on impulse when I got the machine. Signals washes out in VDI after 6 inches. The U13 spreads out a signal so wide, separation suffers. The coil I recommend is the Detech 8x6 SEF. It kills the 6x10 IMO. Hope this helps.

Your not going to get the best depth with the 6x10 DD or the 6x8 SEF coils as there not great depth coils there good for separation of targets though, I would use the D2 (the whites 10" DD coil) or the 13" for depth, I've detected with magic and he gets dimes at 10"+ all day long using the D2 coil. HH

Thanks guys!! 6x10 is great on seperation with Magic, I will bolt the U13 back on and test it with Magic. As for an SEF,,, Im easy and like getting boxes from UPS!!

The Whites 10" DD is the stock V3i coil, correct??

Yep its the stock coil, I'm guessing your talking about magics program from the White's detectors forum and if that's the one I've heard him say about people with different soil will need to tweak it to their ground to work best. If that's the program it will be for Indiana soil, not sure how much time you had to learn the detector yet though. HH

My favorite coil for depth is the Detect 12x15. I love it and it never comes off my V3i
