It seems that lithic types are always confusing me. Mr. Larson sent me a beautiful variety of scrapers of different lithic, and had them labeled. This will be a great reference for me to compare some of my artifacts to. I have already identified the lithic of a point I found a couple of weeks back by looking at these scrapers. I found out that this point is pet. wood.

Here is the display that Larson sent me!!

Here are a few close up pics of them. I'll try to get pics posted tomorrow of these beauties in natural light. Artificial light does them no justice. Here is a close shot of agate.

Look at the remarkable detail!! Here is the quartzite pieces

It looks like glitter in them. Next up, chert.

The first one looks like it should have Fender written across it. I bet it would be a great stiff pick!! Next up, petrified wood. The first piece here is the one that told me what my point was made of. I never knew pet wood was so heavy and dense. Look at the lines in the lithic.

This one is my favorite, greenish colored pet wood.

This white piece is cool as well.

Last up is KRF knife river flint. This is probably the prettiest of the lithic types.

I'll try to get pics of the KRF in natural light. Thanks Larson for such a great gift. If I didn't know better, I'd swear you were Santa!! Lol!! Really, all jokes aside, you have been and are a great friend to me. Thanks just isn't enough. I don't know how to show my appreciation!!
