This one just arrived yesterday, a late Christmas Gift to me! It's from Ill. I liked the thinness, color/patina and flaking. It came off that e-bay site so many are afraid to buy off of.

Yes, super material.

Judging from the use wear, (what the rock says) and giving it a little thought, (what I think it could be used for) I'd say it was most likely used as both a blade and scraper.

Its a amazing looking piece. If I was to find it here and I would have to look at it in person to know but I would consider it to of been hafted on the narrow end in a handle and then used as a knife for cutting and scraping hides. If not used in a handle then it would be called a side scraper. Either way it is a real beauty for sure. Thanks for showing it, rock

LOL. I've been told the fakers have got so good everyone can be fooled. That has led to our main commentator here, not commenting on the pieces I put up.

Actually, what drew me to it besides appearance was that it was from the Chicago area, and I used to live there back in the mid- 60's. AND it was this sellers first e-bay transaction, and I wanted to get him off to a good start with some good feedback from his first sale. I could tell it was good from the pictures.
