This is a whetstone i found on one of my Maine Maritime Archaic Tradition sites.It shows hundreds of striations on its surface.I believe this to be used to sharpen bone and possibly slate. 20231205_100939.webp20231205_100926.webp20231205_100911.webp

Awesome! To my eyes those marks are for sure from man. Put this one with the examples to show the new guys who show up posting river stones.

They are too exact to be natural if you get my drift.If natural the surface would be a mess.

Exactly, if you look carefully you can even see the loops on the end of the scratches where they changed directions grinding back and forth
 

A no brainer, looks like it was well used, Congrats...
