Mammoth and Arrowhead

I didn't find these today, but being new to the site I'm going to post them here. Found the fossil, which a local archeologist IDed as mammoth, a few months ago. On a return trip I found this crude point in the same area. My first fossil and second arrowhead.

Southern New Mexico is my location. The mammoth fossil I found while walking my dogs one day. There are several spotty patches of sandhills in my area and I had gone to one of them to let the dogs run and look around since such areas do seem to hold hidden treasures. Walked right up on the fossil and knew what it was the moment I saw it. I sure felt my heart beating that day. How many people find a fossil in their lives? The arrowhead was found about 150 yards away in another blowout. I also found several other pieces of worked flint rock and several pieces of a metate that had been broken. Most of it is with the archeologist now. Thanks everyone for the welcome.

I was once in Montrose, Colorado. I was digging around in an area that was said to contain fossils and old bones. All I ended up finding was the bones of someone's buried dog, complete with collar and rabies tag.
