In post-9/11 America, mere words can get you thrown in jail with a felony terrorism charge poised to ruin your life and confine you to a cage for years on end.

Sandy Hook has amplified the insanity.

Brain Davis, disabled man from Iowa, made the mistake of telling his physical therapist that he believes security at his grand daughter’s school is lacking. Now he is in the slammer charged with felony threat of terrorism.

According to the people who ratted out David to the cops, he threatened to storm the school and shoot people. “I never said that I would go in there and do something to those kids.” Davis told WHO TV 13 in Des Moines. “I said anybody, any one person could go in there. Anybody.”

The leviathan national security state and its engorged under belly of bureaucrats, judges, prosecutors and redundancy of increasingly sadistic cops needs victims like Mr. Davis to justify its existence.

This is where i usually quote 1984 or something, but I will let others make the connection. Remember the cold war? The wall, and all those downtrodden people?
Is this what we want? is this what we've come too? WAKE UP!
note: This post should be read in the voice of Mark Levin.

How did we get on this side of the wall?

I liked it over there in the United States of America!

I really don't like the United Socialist States of America that much.

Can I go back?

You may get to go back when the next presidential election is held...

You may get to go back when the next presidential election is held...

Do you think there might actually be one? The last one was so rigged I'm not sure it was an election so much as a coup.

America, what a great country. Especially with the right of freedom of speech. :icon_thumright:

Yes siree Bob, this right give you the right to say anything you want without having all the facts. This is exactly the type of story you can be absolutely 100% right on, especially if you weren't there :laughing7:

Not being there, I have no clue is this guy is a nut-job running his mouth, or not. It's very easy to make a stupid threat and recant it once it goes against you. :tongue3:

Then again, maybe you really believe that David Berkowitz really had that conversation with his neighbors dog, like he said he did. :laughing7:

This may, or may not be the case of America's newest boob feeling sorry for himself. :tongue3:

Sounds like someone's not getting the whole story. There probably was something said which rose to the level of a terroristic threat, not just words, but a suggestion of taking action, even if it was just meant to "test the system'.

while it is true, we only have one side of the story, and there is always two sides, with the truth somewhere in the middle....ONE THING I do know is that this Country has lost all it's common sense and people THINKING for themselves,,,,such as zero torerance for guns at school,,,which included a kid getting charged as an adult with a felony and kicked out of school forever....FOR HAVE A PLASTIC RED IN COLOR SQUIRT GUN AT SCHOOL DURING THE LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!!!!!!! No common sense on the teachers fault for not taking the squirt gun bustin' his butt and sending him back too class, and even less on the Polices fault for not steppin' on the squirt gun and walking away!!!!!!!!!!! WAKE UP AMERICA THINK FOR YOURSELF ONCE IN A WHILE.....AGAIN!!!

I find it interesting that that spelt his name wrong twice in such a short article "brain" & ""David" you never see such sloppiness with legit news outlets.

Here is an article from a "less politically biased" source. I got to say I don't disagree with what the health professionals did. Should they wait to say anything until they guy starts shooting up the school? Don't you wish someone had paid more attention and warned officials about the sandy hook, columbine, etc etc killers. I see nothing wrong with this at all. I would think all responsible gun owners would want guns out of the hands of the "unstable". I also have no problem with charging someone talking about having bombs on an airplane.

Brian Davis, a disabled grandfather, was arrested and charged with a felony threat of terrorism after he told his physical therapist that his granddaughter's school lacked security and that anyone could shoot it up (video below).

The unidentified physical therapist claims Davis made a threatening comment about shooting up Howar Junior High in Centerville, Iowa.

“I never said that I would go in there and do something to those kids.” Davis told WHO-TV 13. “I said anybody, any one person could go in there. Anybody.”

“We got a call from the administrator of the hospital, expressed concern over what Mr. Davis had said to some employees.” said Centerville Police Sergeant Mike Moore, “It did become more of a personalized issue, where he said he was going to do this or he could do this.”

Davis, who is being held on $50,000 bail in the Appanoose County Jail, said this is a misunderstanding, but police claim they can't take any chances when the safety of chldren is involved.

"We are thankful that local persons reported their concerns to law enforcement and that criminal justice officials have acted so promptly as they deemed appropriate and have kept us informed," Centerville Schools superintendent Tony Ryan told the Daily Iowegian.

"Through local media, all staff are likely now aware of the nature of the allegations and the identity of the person allegedly involved but the District will make sure they are. In recent weeks and prior to this incident, the District has been meeting with local EMS officials to examine and if necessary amend our school safety procedures after the Connecticut school tragedy. Once again, we are appreciativ

Off Topic? Wrong thread?

Oh wait, I know . . . FORGOT TO READ THE FIRST POST?

What's his name is part of the problem, but not the cause.

What's his name is a symptom, but not the disease. Crispin can explain that last statement to ya.

And now back to your regularly scheduled discussion.
