Man in Moon cup?

I have had this cup since a baby in 1949, I always called it "The Man in The Moon" I have only seen one other in all these years. The other one was in an Antique shop, the owner didn't know anything about it, I bought it for $5.00. I don't know anything other than that about them. They do have printing on the bottom but I can't make it out. I hope someone can help fill in the blanks. Thanks. 100_8795.webp100_8794.webp

Coffee Set for Two People

Czechoslovakia, after 1922. Coffee set for two people by "J. Milota" company in Domazlice. Set comprising of lidded jug, lidded sugar bow and two cups with saucers.
All pieces are decorated with stylized relief hand painted smiling face and lids in form of caps with fringes used as fittings.
Company logo is completed with stamp "Patent J. M. 22110" - product trademark. State B, H. 11.5 cm (jug).

Milota bought the factory in Domazlice in 1912. He died in 1936 and the factory was purchased by a German company in 1940.

So I guess can assume the "Man in the Moon" cup was made between 1912 and 1940. Most are listed for sale as 1930's.

Apparently, they came in several sizes and colors as well.

Looks like you got the information you requested... but I just felt compelled to post that I really like that cup! I may have to find one for myself
