Hi, March was a tough month with 9 days lost to bad weather and illness, also increased competition. Still I broke the magical four digit find number again. In March I found;
Cents; 508(10 wheats including 1917-s,24,29-s and 30-s)
Nickels; 74(oldest 1940)
Dimes; 266
Quarters; 293(95 were states quarters,38 different,one silver a 1943-s)
Half dollars; 1
Dollars; 1 Sacagewea
Foreign coins; 3
Tokens; 3
Old marbles; 1
Silver rings; 4
Other rings; 5
Other keepable items; 19(silver St.christopher medal, butterfly knife, etc)
Total coins for the month; 1156.
Total coins for the year so far: 3474
I'm about 900 coins ahead of last year,the weather does'nt look good for the near future,I hope all of you are finding what you wish for(except my gold coins.LOL) Good hunting, kane 23

Just roll those clad coins up and spend them as rolls,or take them to Zions bank in wrappers. Most banks will give you free wrapers. I used to clean them but I had people refuse them, now that I don't clean them I have no problems. Or a rock tumbler will do the trick.

I once found a sandbar in a ditch at apark, that acted as a coin trap, I found over 100 coins in it. No fountains though. There are some hellacious ponds full of coins at Vegas casino's. I only had one day finding over a 100 coins in march. kane 23

I have found 280,000+ coins in 40 years of detecting,this year over 3400 so far,last year over 10,000 and best year ever(2001) 20,148. Good hunting, kane 23
