All Treasure Hunting
Saw on another forum where someone was also from my home hunting grounds of maryland.

Thought i'd try this here. State your location and maybe we can help each other by avoiding each others or coming up with strategies.

Im from Harford County, weakly searching through baltimore county as i go to and from school.

GO Ravens!

This topic comes up every few weeks in the forum. I personally think it's a waste of time. IMO there are more searchers in each area than you can shake a stick at. Besides, I just don't see anyone wanting to give up that info. I want tell anyone where and when I'm going to have a lot of cash on me. You shouldn't either.

yep I'm with enamel on this one, I really don't think it's too unique that you share your state with another CRH :laughing7:. sorry, I had to say it, nothing personal. this hobby is probably just more common than you would think

Anyhow, on a more paranoid note, I'd rather not let anyone know where I'm hunting. On a more selfish note, I'd rather just outcompete someone in my area rather than work with them.

To continue on the paranoid note, all the half boxes out in the open in my house and car are decoys, filled with rolls of washers and laced with a strong rat poison. The real half dollars are hidden under floorboards. All my found silver is ground and mixed with a big bag of flour for later size separation with a big sieve

I guess you guys are right.

I know of only one other hunter in my area and he is pretty petty in terms of hunting. One of my brothers co-workers acutally. We both happen to use different banks so it works.

I have a very close relationship with my tellers and as far as they have seen in their branches, i am the only one.

Mods feel free to close this thread, bad idea was bad.

it's not a bad idea man, it's just a tough one to pull off on this website. Your best bet is to look out for other CRHs while you're out at the banks. Many bank tellers themselves are also CRHs, some even ordering boxes and dumping after work. I've had the best luck establishing working relationships with people I meet out like that.

While you might get a lot of sassy responses to your post (my bad!), you very well may get a PM from people who are in Maryland and want to work something out, but don't want to let everyone on here know where they are. Might as well see and try!

I've always thought a cool working relationship would be to go on a roadtrip with another CRH. one person could drive while the other hunts. The drive could pull right up to the bank door or maybe search an adjacent bank meanwhile, and the hunter could roll search on the way to the next bank. Seems like it would work. you could also pool bankrolls.

Is Harford or Baltimore County better for CRH? I'm curious because I grew up in Edgewood. I didn't know about CRH back then, but I wish for the life of me that I did. I now live 2100 miles away in Utah and I haven't seen Maryland in 3 years.

Let work out a working relationship. Give me 67.4 percent of your finds and I in return with go to work. That is my work, not yours, you get nothing, like I said on that other thread somewhere, I am a really big deal. :P

Hey Sack - we're probably not far from each other. I find this area to be very competitive for CRHing - lots of banks tell me that other have come through asking for halves and big dollars, and a lot of the tellers seem clued in. My experience has been that loose halves haven't produced much, CWRs are unhead of and that boxes are the best/only hope, although the silver per box is low. What's your experience been?

Never seen a CWR. Loose halves are rare, but have produced here and there. Boxes are where its at.
