I was expecting today to be a washout but the rain stopped and darted to the woods with the ctx3030. I went back to one of my post colonial areas in south jersey. Dug a KG3 that the edge was tapped on with a hammer giving it a flared look. Electrolysis helped clean it up and it looks like poss 1799. Also dug a double gilt top flat button a brass ring that looks yo have been clad in silver, a horseshoe, broken hinge, oil lantern workings, copper scrap, hardwear. Oh and 50 cents in modern coin. Thanks for looking.
