I searched Google and found reference to bottles marked with "liquor bottle" with this and other warnings on the bottom of each bottle. While yours just has "liquor bottle" on the bottom - maybe it was related to this: FEDERAL LAW FORBIDS SALE OR REUSE OF THIS BOTTLE and many bottles had "liquor bottle" on bottom (with other warnings): In the U.S., National Prohibition was repealed in late 1933 and was subsequently followed by the passage of Federal laws prohibiting the reuse or sale of used liquor bottles...

all the liquor bottles I find are marked liquor bottle I've never found mason jars marked liquor bottle and I'm sure they did use mason jars for moonshine but I don't think the Moonshiners mark their glass I don't think they made the glass but I cannot find anything about any glass manufacturer making mason jars for use as liquor bottles

Possibly modern "moonshine" jars.... I'd say try going to your local liquor stores and see if any of them match.

These have to be pre 1978....That's how long I have lived here. Not possible to be any newer than that

The post with the Georgia Moon was right on target. There is one jar listed on ebay that shows the bottom of the jar. These folks were making this product way before the current "moonshine" trend so pre-1981 works. Ironically made in Bardstown, Kentucky. :occasion14:
