This was the first hunt that I have been on since early spring. My dad had a heart attack on April 25th, so I have put the Metal Detecting on the back burner for the summer and have been spending most of my time with him. He is doing fine now and we are both smoke free
This morning I swung at a site that I found last fall. An early site in the top edge of a hay field overlooking the Village. The site has coughed up my secong George Washington Inaugural Button, Spanish silver, George II copper, ETC. The finds are getting pretty scarce now but I can usually count on something old from this site. Today was no exception with a Masonic cufflink being the keeper of the day. This is my first early cufflink of any kind that I have dug. Missing the shank but in otherwise pretty good shape.
I sure am glad that the field was mowed this week!
