All Treasure Hunting
Well after trying about every option we can think of this time of year, it was time for a return trip to the Roman/Saxon Site we covered last year. My plan was to try my new deep custom program for the Deus on an area we had done very vell with the GMP/Cortes/& Deus 9". I'm starting to get the hang of the Deus with the 11" coil & the custom setting I programmed for Roman Sites, seems to be adding value.
We did 6.5 hours over 2 days & it rained most of the time.:tongue3: But its still very mild, so at least we can hunt easily.

Roman pottery & aminal teeth
Roman Hair Pin
Silver Georgian Shoe Buckle guts
17 Roman bronze coins

Looking good! Do you think you'll redo many of your old sites?

Fantastic hunt!

Always amazes me the stuff you find Cru. As this was return trip, was it new area at same site or deeper hits? Or just goes to show you don't always find everything the first time? Good luck.

Yes, looking to open up all my old 'hunted out' sites.

A mix of both, some deeper missed & some smaller misses near the top. Its also covered in Roman iron nails (& some green waste), so if Dads Cortes went over it & missed it, my Deus would weed it out.

Love to see the trash pit artifacts. Good luck on your next hunt.

Great results with the coil and the new settings!

Yes my confidence is growing, it took a bit of a hit with the big change in sounds & how complex it is.

Nicely done from the well hunted site guys, good to hear the machine is sniffing out the finds also. With that many Romans for the hours put in I'd be very happy, then again it doesn't take much right now.

What do you do with all the shards of pottery, and teeth?

I just think it's cool that you can say you found "buckle guts" !!!! Nice Silver .

It's so cool to be able to find and hold so much ancient history

wow, sounds like that new coil really has made a difference, those old spots may produce even more for you. it sounds like it has been a little challenging for you but worth the trouble

Keep them all, but give some bits away to kids etc..

I forgot to add that the sites that we share with Land-Mag we do a little different. He has been assigned (voluntered) to be our teams pottery guru. He researches some rarer pieces & he has built up some expert contacts. Therefore, ALL pottery is sent to him to file by field/site. This evidence maybe used later to help Archaeological research, at the very least, its a bigger picture for our knowledge of the sites.

Yeah Cru! Nice finds for a site you hit hard last year. Glad to see it's still producing!
