they were found 2 different places.The item found on the left was and old colonial site

one looks like a tractor pin with

tincdig has it! The left piece is a fastener pin with a rusted cotter. The plum bob thing is probably a final of sorts?

the piece on the right seems to be solid brass very heavy.tony what do you mean by a final of sorts

finial means end. could be from a flag pole, fence, bedpost. I'll stick with flag pole

Sure looks like a plumb bob with the steel tip missing. Is there a hole in the top for a string?

If it's heavy brass I would say plumb bob.
