Any ideas??? I will appreciate it

Would be helpful if you had another coin (or a pencil or something) in the pix for size comparison.

Also I notice you're from New Mexico: What type site did you find it in ? Eg.: routine city park ? Relicky or ruins type site ? How old does the site you were at date to ? And by that, I mean : "Specifically" at the location. Not like as in: "This city dates back to such & such founding date". (yet might have utterly no bearing on the school yard or park or home's yard within that city)

Is little larger the a quarter and found at a street tearout old downtown, I also found a seated dime 1841 in same area, my city was founded 1847.

Lg cent are super rare to find my part of country , I never known any to be found here where I live

I have heard of many mexican era coppers, and coins like LC's found in NM. There was a treasure magazine article, many years ago, where some dude there was making sport of driving all the back roads scouting out stone and adobe ruins (foundations or walls, etc...). And had amassed many of them. But still though: Not like being back east (where LC's brim out of every sandbox).

Congrats on the copper,
Try soaking it in olive oil and then use a toothpick to clean it.

Looks like it to me

I have found 36 Mexican 1/4 copper reales but to find LG cent bucket list, I found this Mexican 1/4 reale in th he same street tearout 20181216_102833.webp

Rinse it a little more would help Awesome find which ever it is. Tommy
