So I picked this up for $25 hoping it was real but I am afraid it might not be. I have a 7 day return policy cash back so I basically couldn't lose buying it. With that said the mark on the inside looks real bad, there is no way Tiffany would do that? I am probably taking it to Tiffany in a few days to have them look at it but I thought I would post it here to get some thoughts? It is a Tiffany somerset ring, very cool and I have wanted one for quite some time, but not a fake one! Edit: if you can't see the marking is off center and it looks as if it was soldered on cheaply...

Looks fake to me. Most Tiffany markings are flawless.Hopefully I'm wrong.

yea the spacing on the T&CO looks funny to me, but I am no expert

The Tiffany stores won't authenticate and wouldn't even look at a questionable piece that I brought it.

I agree with the others, trust your instincts. It's fake.

The last one I bought like that was silver plated copper

I'd be taking advantage of that 7 day return policy like yesterday.

Tiffany does not authenticate. What you do is ask them to clean/polish the piece. If they examine it and decline to clean " I'm sorry Ma'am/Sir, we can't clean this", THAT is your indication of authenticity, or lack there of.

You are right and great thinking! Just like they'd never actually engrave a Cracker Jack ring like they did in "Breakfast At Tiffany's" lol! :laughing7: The man would have either fainted, or had security throw them out on their ears.
