First target at a new permission. It rang up like a penny tone.
I presume it is a William McKinley campaign pendant or charm?
That would date it to 1899 / 1900 via wikipedia.....he was assassinated shortly thereafter.
Yay.....it breaks the "nothing special to post on today's finds drought" I've been on lately.

Nice find! I think it may have been part of an eagle / stick pin attachment. Here's one listed on Worthpoint. Also one without the attachment so you can see it could have some value even without the eagle.

A great find and a great piece of history - congrats ! :icon_thumright:

I watched a documentary video on President McKinley last winter.
It was on streaming video - not sure but I think it was on Discovery or the History Channel.
Try to find it - it's very well done !
