These are this afternoons finds. A nice Medieval 13th/14th Century beehive thimble (love finding these) a medieval coin weight (love finding these also). A nice complete Georgian buckle, plus two hammered silver coins. A Charles first penny, and a short cross cut half coin, probably Richard I, 1189-99.
Robert.

It was a good day even by your current standards! That thimble and coin weight can top a hammered day for sure!

Yes Westfront love those medieval thimbles, so simple but something about them.

Your finds are just spectacular. Congrats on finds that boggle the minds of us colonials! Wow. GL&HH!

You're still on a big-time roll Robert - WTG!! What kind of site are you hunting that would produce so many early coins?

Keep right on finding that's what it's all about!
Congrats great finds!

Pssssst....we have some free snow if you want some!

Each of those recoveries is fantastic, I would be pleased with any of them. Its amazing to see a complete buckle of that age.

sounds like you have excess of the hammered coins...wanna trade or donate?

I assume the coin weight is uniface. Its 15th-16th C & depending on size its to weigh a French Ecu or 1/2 Ecu. Good find in nice condition.

One of those awesome ancient European sites ,the lucky dog:)Very nice rob.Man you are rolling.

Love that Georgian buckle bud. Nice to find them complete. Prob my favorite relic to find. They're just do I like anything you see today. And shocker that you found a few hammered coins. Nice to see something different from you :laughing7:

I agree Rob there's just something about those simple utilitarian items. I love to find thimbles but 700-800 yrs. old that's ridiculous. Hell I didn't even know they made them that long ago. How about a couple more photos of it?
And the hammered silver, it makes my Spanish pistereens and cobs look like modern pocket change. Amazing finds!
