...HAS GONE INTO FINDING IT....according to some Civil War experts the actual site should contain something like 20,000 rounds of musketballs.....not counting all of the other stuff lost in an engagement.....so far only a few scatterend musketballs have been found...the whole area consists of a deep granule sand...one thought that most of the artifacts have sunk out of metal detector range??....I for one do not think so....I think that this was a running engagement and that is why only a few artifacts have surfaced.....the actual last stand was probably in a very narrow section of land and the hunts so far just seem to be skirting the actual site......some say that the hunts are concentrating on the wrong areas??...I really do not know....but I would like to hear all comments .....Pro or Con ...this is one of the largest battlesites that so far has Not been located...I know that the Hunt Organizer would like to find the Battlesite to commenorate the 200th anniversary which will occur in less than 2 years.......Joe
