Found this on my back yard, it was about 4 inches deep , i was using the ACE 250 and the ID mark was between the cap and the nickle .. Its much heavier than steel so i am not sure what it is.. Looks like melted lead to me , what do you guys think it is?? i did scrape a small chip out of if with a knife ..

Its a glob of lead, I have found several pieces like that, they are left overs from the installation of old caste iron sewer pipes which were connected by melting lead to form gaskets.

I took a small piece off and it melts with a 40 watt soldering iron so its is lead.. There is a cast iron storm drain pipe just passed the property line , i guess i will be finding more of these things :laughing9: ...
