Memorial Day Weekend Finds

Hello fellow TNetters,

First I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Memorial Day and thank our men and women in uniform and for all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedom..here's to you all!


I was only able to detect today (Saturday). I'll be busy all day Sunday and Monday is family day..we're going to have our annual back yard barbecue whether it rains or not!! It has been so soggy here in Missouri all year long but I haven't let that keep me from detecting whenever I can..although I'm noticing the tot lots/schoolyards haven't produced too much because of all the rain. The guitar fund money is just trickling in here and there, but I'll have enough to be able to buy it soon

Anyway today's finds yielded another $6 mainly from a church field and a couple of schools..I also found some kind of religious medal or key fob (quoting John 3:16 on one side), an earring, a 1980 Girl Scout pin and a very cool 925 silver football pendant. I didn't know it was silver until I got home..my 12-year-old son noticed it right away and told me

Thanks all! We had an inch of rain yeasterday afternoon, another huge storm last night (that woke us all up at 3 a.m.), complete with thunder and TONS of lightning, and we're expecting more later today..we've had over 25 inches of rain here since the year began, shattering a record that goes as far back as 1897 What's going on with this crazy weather anyway??

Hopefully the weather pattern will change soon so I can go out and do some more detecting..I mean it's been 2 whole days since I've been out and I'm already beginning to develop signs of withdrawel
