Merchant's Token

Here's a merchant's token I found last spring. I'm guessing it's from the late 1800's. It's a token for "CASSIMER WESSTING CLOTHES BOSTON / WM. H. MILTON & CO. MERCHANT TAILOR No. 6 FANUEIL HALL" and on the other side "FANUEIL HALL CLOTHES WAREHOUSE...." then some text that is pretty worn, but basically touting their wares.

Nice find... and quite a bit earlier than you think! It's listed as a Hard Times token, c. 1835-44. There are several varieties, all pretty similar; however, I can't see enough detail in the photos to be sure which one you've found.

Wow! Thanks for the info! I love this forum. I'll post a better picture when I can. I'll use more light.

I'll tell ya; this forum has helped out alot. I just joined about two weeks ago, and have learned that I've got some pretty good finds.
