Mercury Dimes

Found my first Mercury dime yesterday afternoon. A really nice 1942. After that it was like my luck ran sour. A couple of hours of bad targets. When I was least expecting it up popped a 1916!! That made the whole day worthwhile.

Nope, the 1916 isn't a d mint mark. and the 1942 isn't a 2/1. I checked. Went as far as getting out a microscope.

How'd you like that shot of adrenaline you got when that "1916" looked back at ya?? When I found one, I almost wee-wee'd until I turned the coin over and saw no mint mark.
