Met another TH on maui, a nice Hawaiian guy. His name is Art.. he's been treasure hunting maui with a MD for many years.. had a few tips for me.. we talked a long time... each worked the beach.. we both had fun.. and then out to the parking lot where he got on to his harley and away he went.. Metal detecting on a Harley! That is the way to go. Now if I can just figure a way to convince Mrs. DaChief to buy me the wheels to go with my Infinium.

My wife and I had such a good time when we visited the islands. I was with a bunch of guys who worked where I did. I took my detector with me and used it every chance I got. I loved the area's were they had lava rocks around the swimming areas. I got so tired of detecting, that I put the detector down and the other guys picked it up and they went water detecting. Can't wait to go back!! By the way I only found one ring, but lots of change and really got a good tan. LOL Kinda hard to hunt when your on a tour.

Looks like you had a good time and met a new detectorist and now friend. Hope you two get back together and show us some more finds.
