Metal Detecting find - Copper lid "Ma....Patties"

Found at an old homestead, it hit hard on the old metal detector. It looks to be made of copper and the only writing I could find read "Ma....Patties" in cursive. I was thinking it was an old makeup/powder lid. Excited about this area as it was really exciting my metal detector however the ground is far to frozen to get any serious digging done. Thanks in advance for any info!!

Mavis might be the missing moniker ... maybe ?

Yes, these are a very common finds at homestead sites. :thumbsup:
Interesting that yours is made of copper, I've only ever found brass examples in my area.

Last week I was detecting in the woods, this week we're frozen solid. :BangHead:
