DSCF1739 (2).webpDSCF1733 (2).webp Found this item behind an old farmhouse in PA. It measures 1 1/2"wide x 2 1/4 "long I believe it is made of brass. It shows 2 muskets, a powder horn, some kind of bag for carrying musket balls and other items. It also has a dog in a tent and trees on both sides and some kind of clip on opposite side. :icon_scratch: Wondering if it's some type of badge or how old it is. Any thoughts?
 

Looks like something at the top of it...

Perhaps another picture of top area if there is something there will help.

does it have a hole at both ends?

It looks like a fancy slide buckle from a rifle sling or something.

Snuff box or tobacco box lid? The hunting theme was popular...

The bottom edge looks similar to the striker surface on many vestas. Match box maybe? :dontknow:

I lightened the OPs picture a little. I don't think there is a hole at the top.

Sometimes it's like pulling hen's teeth just trying to get enough information to ID something.
